An update…

Posted on 16 October 2018

Hello everyone, I’m Kat, the new Digital Editor here at Bell. Before coming here I worked in Communications for Canterbury Cathedral and I’m really enjoying this new challenge so far.

I’m not the only newbie here: Caroline Sines has joined as Sales Manager for Tea & Coffee and Katie Healy joined us as Sales Manager for Food & Drink, plus Sam, Sales Manager for Dairy has had a baby and is now on maternity leave so there are lots of new faces!

Following the successful revamp of the CanTech website, Dairy, Confectionery and Sweets & Savoury have all been redone too, with Food & Drink and Tea & Coffee following soon. Do take a look round the new sites and tell us what you think.

Events-wise we are looking forward to the end of the month when Asia CanTech will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand. The popular Candid Forum Q&A session returns and all panellists have now been announced.

I’ve been away to Inside Tetra Pak in Sweden where they unveiled their plans for Industry 4.0 with a new plant managment system and talked about their plans for a sustainable future. According to Tetra Pak, the ‘can is dead’ – I’m not sure our CanTech editor is so sure! Read my full write up in Dairy’s December issue.

In the office the November issues are in production and we’re starting to think about Christmas parties – if it ever gets cold enough. I wouldn’t complain but my winter coat will walk itself back to the store soon.

In November I’m jetting off to Nuremberg for BrauBeviale for CanTech via Amsterdam for an event at Givaudan for Dairy. You could say I’m really getting stuck in!
