A new editor and a TCWC announcement

As we approach mid-February, production of the March issues is well and truly underway.

We have also welcomed a new editor to Confectionery Production magazine. Neill Barston took the helm just in time for the industry’s biggest exhibition, ISM ProSweets in Cologne, Germany, and in a very busy schedule managed to meet many of the exhibitors. The Confectionery Production stand was particularly colourful this year and attracted a great many visitors.

In terms of upcoming events, I’m looking forward to attending the Chocoa Conference in Amsterdam for Confectionery Production. We’re continuing the preparations for hosting Euro CanTech in Milan, Italy (19-21 March) and here in the office there has been a flood of entries for the Euro CanTech Awards.

The Food and Drink Technology, Dairy Industries International and Confectionery Production teams will be heading off to Cologne for Anuga FoodTec 2018 from 20-23 March – do contact them to arrange a meeting if you’ll be attending. The same applies to the National Coffee Association’s Annual Convention (15-17 March, New Orleans, USA), where Tea & Coffee Trade Journal will be kept busy.

On behalf of Tea & Coffee World Cup I can also announce that David Veal, executive ambassador of the Speciality Coffee Association, will be giving a keynote presentation on “The Changing Speciality Coffee Culture in the UK” at this year’s exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, UK (3-5 September 2018). This is yet another great reason to visit the show this year – it’s developing into a truly world class event.
